On-the-Job Training (OJT) Highway Construction Laborer (New Hampshire): Pike is seeking a safety-minded, qualified individual to work as a Construction Laborer on the Statewide South Project as part of the New Hampshire On-the-Job training (OJT) program. The selected individual will perform a combination of activities under the supervision of a skilled highway construction worker to familiarize her/him with highway construction. The activities will include, but not be limited to: raking, traffic control, clean up, and small equipment operation. This position is for 600 hours. Classification: Seasonal hourly position.
Requirements:
Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.
Must be willing and eager to learn about the construction industry.
The willingness to work extended hours with possible night and/or weekend work as well as overnights.
The willingness to travel to other Pike locations throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont when needed.
A valid driver's license.
